How to combine postage

I am selling a few bits on ebay at the minute and have offered to combine postage - it does look as if more than one item will be won by the same buyer.

I dont actually know how to combine postage though:rolleyes:

I have looked on the ebay help pages and it refers to ebay working out the discount - I'd rather do it myself!

Can someone offer any guidance?

When you send an invoice through eBay (from the link in the auction at the top of the item description page) if one person has bought more than one item from you they will all come up listed in the one invoice. You then need to check the tick boxes to the left of the items that you wish to combine. Then click 'Recalculate' on the list of prices (on the right of the invoice page).

That will add up all of the totals. You can then give a discount if you wish (for combined postage) by putting a minus amount in the Sellers Discounts part of the invoice - do remember to put the minus sign or it will add on that amount!!!

DO NOT CLICK RECALCULATE AGAIN OR IT WILL REMOVE THE DISCOUNT!

You can add a message to the invoice - it will come up with any message that you had in your auction about payment etc - not a bad idea to state that you have given a postage discount in that message form.

It is a good idea to use the 'Preview your Invoice' tool offered on that page so that you can be absolutely certain that you have ended up with the correct total before sending the invoice (you can do this from the preview page).

Hope this all makes sense - once you have done it it gets much easier next time!
