Need Help With Freeview

When i first got it could not get any of the bbc channels

have fiddled and swapped leads and checked connections - now i can only get the bbc channels and NOTHING else!!

lovely clear picture but no corrie, x factor etc life will not be worth living !!

i get a similar problem with mine sometimes, as we still use the old tv antenna (not upgraded it yet). Either no reception at all or it breaks up a lot and the sound stutters etc. To a certain extent it's dependent on the weather.

However, sometimes I find that giving the box itself a bit of a slap actually works! That, and repositioning it - lying it on it's side sometimes helps the reception for some reason.

You don't make it clear whether you could get the other channels before you started checking stuff. If you could and you can't now I'd go through and check your signal path again - you may have dislodged or broken something.

In the absence of any other information I'd say you are getting a weak signal. Here in East Riding I can get only the BBC channels through a normal TV aerial because the signal is so poor here. If you are in a low signal area then you need a high-gain aerial.
