Has anybody else had trouble with this site? I bought 3 madness tickets in the summer from these. The concert should be on the 7th Dec & my tickets still hadn't arrived so I e mailed them this morning. This is the reply I have received:-

Sir/Madam
Unfortunately we have just heard some unfortunate news about your booking for Madness happening next month.!Unfortunately we have been let down by our suppliers for the show and will be unable to provide you with the tickets ordered. Please accept our sincere apologies for this unfortunate news.!
Due to us not using the merchant terminal that charged you anymore we are unable to issue a refund from our side. To ensure you get the refund owed please contact your card issuer and instruct them to perform a chargeback to retrieve the funds paid. If you are unfamiliar with this procedure please use the information contained within the below links to assist you.

Unfortunately we are unable to return the money to you from our side by any means (transfer, cash, cheque, PayPal etc).

Hi Lisa
I had exactly the same problem - the email I received was identical to yours. I contacted my bank as my tickets came to £80. They were quite dismissive at first but I persisted and advised them that as I'd paid by a visa debit card that this should be covered under 'chargeback' or section 75.
Eventually my bank told me that they would send a form for me to fill in with necessary paperwork (emails etc), they also gave me a reference number. Once they receive this then they contact the sellers bank and I should be refunded.
I thought I'd let you know - I'm more upset about not having the tickets for the 7th December - but very determined that I'm getting my money back too!!!
I'd like to think I'm switched on to what's legitimate over the internet and what's not - but obviously on this occasion not!!
What really annoyed me though is that the madness-tickets.com is still running and STILL offering tickets - this really shouldn't be allowed!!!0 -
Hi,
Was supposed to seeing Madness in Reading on Friday 10th Dec.
Tickets were also bought back in the summer.
Recieves the exact same email as yourselves today, really disappointed about this con, just hope I can at least get my money back.
As you say site is still up and running as of today!
Not a happy Nutty Boy here!.0 -
I also bought 6 tickets in August for this event. As per the website instructions, as the tickets had not arrived 5 days prior, I e-mailed 'info@madness-tickets.com', but received no reply. Yesterday (7th), the day of the gig, after the post arrived (but no tickets) I e-mailed again asking for a refund. To date I have had no reply.
I have started dispute proceedings with Barclaycard to try and recover the £230 paid for these tickets.
I am usually very savvy with internet purchases, but this site is very convincing of its authenticity regarding Madness. I am very surprised that Madness has not taken legal action regarding mis-representation and image rights.
This web-site is nothing but a con. I doubt if anybody has received tickets or a refund from them. I believe that the Police should be getting involved as this is probably fraudulent.0 -
I had the same thing happen. I was due to go Earl's Court on the 17th with these tickets. I am awaiting three tickets.
I emailed them Friday and got the same reply.
I honestly thought it was an official site.
Well I'm going to call my bank next week and get a refund (hopefully)
Though we are going to the ball - just bought some more off ticketmaster!
The owners of this website madness-tickets.com should be dealt with!0 -
Go via the band's website next time, much safer. Has anyone thought to notify them of this problem - not saying they would be able to do something, but it wouldn't hurt?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
