Started overpaying 2009 when i found this website and the amazing people on it that give you the encouragement to overpay to be mortgage free, hoping to be mortgage free Dec 2013 :T

started op'ing 2007 gone from 64k to under 34k in 3 and a half years, hope to have it paid by 2014!

Mortgage July 2006 - £113,000 (10 year fixed rate)
Mortgage December 2010 - £61,800 (base rate tracker)

Always wanted to get mortgage paid off early so we started overpaying a year after we moved in (and had sorted out all furniture/decorating), but only really started going for it in 2008 when I came across this forum, and saw what others were achieving.
You get to see the full spectrum of approaches to Mortgage Freedom (i.e extreme to moderate) and receive lots of helpful advice and words of encouragement.

Hope to be mortgage free by December 2013.
