LTSB Online Banking - Standing Orders

Hi

Does anyone know what time of day a standing order is paid out? I set one up yesterday to be paid today but nothing seems to have happened and my available balance is the same...:undecided The recipient also has a LTSB account btw.

I think perhaps 1 day might be too short notice. Give it a day or two, and if nothing happens, ring them.

You can make a manual transfer if it is established that the SO will not go through.

Was it actually a Standing Order, or just a transfer set up yesterday for today?

Yeah it's a standing order to be paid monthly starting today.

I attempted a one-off transfer of £1 a few minutes ago to see if it would go through via Faster Payments but it said it would take 1 working day, so I'm guessing its the same with the standing order???

I think I'll give it until tomorrow morning before trying it the old fashioned way in branch!

They are usually very good with the Faster Payments. Did you select todays date?

Just watch that they do not suddenly send the SO a day or 2 late.

Did you go through the telephone checking stuff when setting up the SO? (if it was the first time to this payee)

Lloyds are very conservative, even internal SOs do not go on a weekend, maybe their computer doesn't like to set them up on a Sunday either!

Once set up, a SO to another Lloyds account should go by FPs. Certainly mine do.

What time yesterday did you set it up? It may be that there is a cut-off time that you missed?

For some reason Faster Payments between the 2 LTSB accounts wasn't working; I made sure "pay as soon as possible" was selected. On all previous occasions when transferring from Lloyds to my other accounts with Santander, it has always been instant even when carried out late at night. Maybe they were having problems with their system or something.

Fortunately the standing order went through early this morning (but yeah, a day late) which meant I didn't have to drive to the branch in the snow!
