Southern Electric Phone Line

Hi there,
after using the comparing tool for Gas & Electric suppliers, I am in the process of switching from BG over to Southern Electric.

They also offered me a phone option, but I declined as didn't have enough info.

I am currently with BT and signed up for 18866.

Does anyone know whether 18866 would work with SE, and how it works.

ie do BT still suuply the line, and you pay SE for your calls, like the Post office offer.

Or do SE take over the line supply, bills and all......?

Thanks in advance

Dan

  • Sorry, I should have loked on the website myself!

Anyway, looks like all the other services, still pay rental to BT, and seeing as we don't use the home phone much, will be better off just sticking with 18866.

    Thanks

    Dan

It's a pity they seem to be giving up their broadband over powerline as you could have used a SIP phone number to have phone service with no BT line rental
