In June I ordered some Christmas items from a card catalogue firm from Preston. the bill was £44.63 I was 14 days late settling as I was on holiday and had other things to think about. The company have charged me £22.35 administration fee because of late payment. I refused to pay as I settled the whole bill and thought this was exessive. They have since sent me another bill for an additional £21.00. So even though I have paid for the goods in full I owe almost the exact amount of the original bill in administration charges. Do I have to pay?

I have 1st hand experience of this company. Trust me Im 100% sure you mean Studio.
First things 1st they will have marked this late payment of your credit file. If you dont pay this admin charge they will add on another and then another late payment charge so my 1st advice to you is to pay this money asap. If its be cheque make sure you send it recorded post.
One your accounts showing as clear you can tackle them about the charges.
I had all mine refunded after 2 letters.
I do feel that although this admin charge is for a lot of money pay it to protect your credit file, then pounce of the bu**ers
Sorry can you tell I dont like them much?
The letters youll need to send are the same ones for claiming back bank charges, and theres a thread on here now for that so youll have plenty of support.
