    No, C will include C1.

    C1+E is for a 7.5 tonne vehicle with a trailer over 750kg.

    C+E will include C1+E.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

You have no different right regarding the CPC i'm afraid.

Not necessarily true - those drivers holding their licence before the legislation came in have an exemption for 5 years; those passing their test afterwards have an exemption for 1 year.

Anyone who holds a PSV/HGV license has until 2014 to complete it.

Not at all true. The PSV requirements came in a year earlier than the HGV requirements. PSV from September 2007, HGV from September 2008.

No and it wouldn't include +E if he did C1. He would have to take an additional test to get Category E entitlement.

You cannot go straight from car licence to C1+E or C+E (articulated lorry) test anymore so he would have to take Cat C and then do a Cat C+E.
  • Well its not cost me a penny, thats why i did it.
Plus it might come in handy one day .

Fraid not as of sept last year if you wish to use your license for hire or reward you need CPC initial, then 5 years later you need CPC 'top ups'

If you take your full ADR (tanks and packages) course then some of the hours are counted towards your CPC and it also widens the scope regarding jobs. The wages now are worse than what they were 20yrs ago in the majority of driving jobs so dont expect overnight rich's

Sorry, can't quite work out which part of my post you're disagreeing with? Perhaps you could clarify what you mean?
