Gas Fire Service in Colchester

Can anyone recommend a company to service a gas fire in Colchester?
Have left a message for a few plumbing/heating firms now and no-one has called me back. My brother's a plumber but not GasSafe certified for fires and said I'd be lucky to find someone that will touch it.
He has all the instructions on how to service a gas fire from when he did his GasSafe course this year but not letting him loose on it. Unless we can't find anyone!
No reason to think anything is wrong with the fire. We bought the house in August and haven't used the fire yet. Would prefer to get it checked before use as we've no idea how long it's been since it was last turned on.
Think it's worth calling shops in town who sell gas fires? Wondering if they can recommend someone - they must use fitters.

Why not call or go onto www.gassaferegister.co.uk to find out which gas safe engineers in your surrounding area(s) are qualified to do the job.0
