Yes I would go down the formal complaint route.
It costs them about £500 if you go to the FOS which is your right.
This tends to give them the kick up the butt they need to get a lot of minor matters sorted out before they get to the £500 stage.0 -
*right* - excellent advice both. I will act upon it, thanks. I wasn't aware that I could bring this kind of thing to the attention of the Financial Ombudsman, but I will do so, and the input on the language I should use is very valuable.
YorkshireBoy - re: registering a formal complaint in 2009 - I didn't realise they were still reporting the account until 2010, when I was registered for checking the CRAs in the run-up to a mortgage application.
I did, of course, immediately contact Lloyds TSB, but at every approach they've been remarkably unresponsive... I'm not sure why you put 'issue' in inverted commas?Now: off-set mortgage *up-and-running*...
