Looking for red letter day driving experience but cheaper

Options
Hoping someone can help. I am looking to get a Driving Experience as a present for someone, the driving in a Ferrari for a few laps sort of thing. I know that it's cheaper to get them directly, not go through an company like Red Letter Days, but I don't know how to find them.

If you could let me know of any, or how to find them, that would be great.

I'm not sure it is possible to get driving experience days at a better price direct from supplier such as silverstone; as a pose to red letter days or buyagift. Driving experience days are regularly up for auction on ebay. If you shop around on ebay you might be able to get good discount on RRP. Alternatively retail prices for ferrari experiences start at about £59 weekdays £75 weekends. Companies like red letter days / buyagift regularly do special offers. If buying from them its worth checking for current discount codes and buying through Topcashback. I think redletterdays offer cashback of 17% and buyagift offer cashback of 12%.
  • Many driving centres don't sell direct and you will find that even where they do (e.g. Thruxton) they will be at the same or a similar price to Red Letter Days, Virgin Experience Days etc. as they then need to cover their own sales and marketing costs.

The exceptions to this are where a third-party experience day merchant has over-booked and needs to unload, in which case you can sometimes get it cheaper than from the supplier themselves (where they provide direct) by even as much as 60% off the list price (I have seen this more than once!).

Check the page http://www.findexperiencedays.com/discount.htm which has an up-to-date list of all the current offers and discounts from RLD, VED and some of the other big experience day merchants as well as Thruxton Motorsport Centre. When you get to the page, pick "Ferrari" from the Combo box in the fifth "Vehicles" column and you will get an idea of what's available.

I just took a quick glance and there are about 20 offers on Ferrari days at the moment although some may not be suitable (e.g. the ones for kids).

Note that where there is a discount it is sometimes linked to restricted terms like off-peak bookings only, or a shorter time limit within which you have to either book or actually do the experience day so check the details before you buy!

    Good luck
  • Cheers for the help, I've booked something on The Find Experience Days site
