At about 4MB per file, you'll get about 175 files on a 700MB cdr.

If you have Nero CD software on your pc, then use that to create a Data CD. Drag and drop your MP3s into the new CD.

If you dont have it but are using Windows XP then you can make a data cd with that.

    Hi
In WMP10, go to Tools, Options, Rip Music and from here, change the "Rip Settings" Format to mp3, and underneath you have a slider, so you can change the bitrate, to whatever you want.

Sounds like media player was going to create a music cd for you instead of an mp3 cd. Most burning programs will allow you to create an mp3 cd - instructions as per crankup
  • if you want to make a cd full of mp3 files which will play in a car mp3 cd player etc, then the key thing is to burn the disc as a DATA DISC, not an audio disc.

I assume you've got all the mp3 albums in separate folders ?
Add the folders to your disc and if your player can read the id3 tags on the files then the song names should show up on the display too, which is nice.

i would recommend nero as a cd burning tool, though there are many alternatives out there which will do the job just as well
