b+q was in the paper at the weekend offering it for £1 per roll
npower is £3 per roll delivered..
i paid £3 per roll for ours from homebase. had to collect it but it was the recylced glass type so wasnt as itchy-messy..0 -
The only one I know of is the Wickes 1 + 3 deal, which is about £7.50 a roll.
[EDIT] Homebase want £4 a roll with their 1+1 deal@£8
B&Q are back to £6 a roll so that £1 deal is dead.0 -
Even at £5+ a roll, you'd probably get it back in less than a year if you have no insulation at all in these temperatures. About a third of your heating bill is going straight out the roof, so I'd pencil it in for this weekend...
After years of gov't publicity and subsidised insulation offers from the utility companies, I'm amazed that there any houses left in the country that don't at least have some level of loft insulation. No free lunch, and no free laptop

http://www.npower.com/web/diyloftinsulation/index.htm is the npower one..
the b_q one was in saturdays sun newspaper.. (depends how many rolls you need though also as they are not small so theres the collection to take into account)0 -

The npower one seems okay especially as it's delivered.
With regard to the B&Q deal, when someone first mentioned it, it was shown on the B&Q website but now it is not. It was shown on the front page, it's not in the insulation section, they are back to regular price.0 -

The b&q offer was really £3 not £1 claiming 3 rolls per pack so only £1 a roll.
wickes buy1 3 free is from £0.53 sq metre for 100mm0 -
npower deal say upto 15 days for delivery
Just in time for a heat wave :rotfl:0 -
Thank you so much for all the replies. Once the insulation is laid does the house feel physically warmer with the same level of heating as was being applied before the insulation?0

If you go out in the cold today, do you feel warmer with a coat on or without? Same thing.
The insulation will retain the heat for longer. Obviously if you keep your heating at the same temp it won't feel any warmer, but it will keep it at that temp much more economically. No free lunch, and no free laptop
