Taken from the directgov website.If you sell the vehicle or your entitlement ends, you should return the disabled tax disc to the DVLA. You can do this by sending it to DVLA, Swansea SA99 1AL or your nearest DVLA Local Office. If you return the tax disc by post, please include a covering letterJust in case you were wondering (some have)..... I'm a woman!0 -
When you sell your car basically the first thing that the new owner will need to do is to go to your local DVLA office to change the taxation class of the car back to PLG and get a new disc issued immediately, assuming that the buyer is not entitled to a road fund license exception. If there is a tax disc still in effect on that vehicle that can be surrendered to the DVLA at that point, so you could go with them to the DVLA office or send the disc in with them if you trust them to not break the law with the disc.'Ive got a photograph, I'll send it off today.

when you say dvla office does this mean post office or swansea:eek:
when i bought the car it was plg so i went into the post office with my v5 form tax exeption cert and the post office sent the v5 form off for me and gave me a exempt tax disk,can the post office not do this the other way around ?0 -
just checked with post office , it must be done through dvla , post office only do from plg to disabled, dvla have to do disabled to plg.0
