argos replacement cover - smashed my glass kettle

Hi guys

i bought a Glass Breville kettle last year from ARgos for bouts £60 and I also purchased the Replacment Cover thingy from Argos

however this morning i went to fill the kettle up and accidently dropped the kettle on the floor and it smashed into pieces

now my question is you guys reckon the replacment cover with cover this cos it was accidental damaged and it fell off

considering the kettle glass is smashed to pieces

so not sure really thought id ask before i take a trek down to argos to see if they will give me a new one under the replacment cover insurance

We had cover on a Nintendo DS. My son dropped it when he was getting out of the car and the screen cracked.

Argos were great at exchanging it for him and really apologetic as they had no silver ones left and he had to get a turquoise one instead!
