Multi Region BluRay players

Options
I'm looking for my Xmas pressie and really fancy a wifi ready blu ray player, thing is having spoken ti several people I get mixed answers as to whether you can buy a multi region blu ray player, so thought I'd ask here. I have had multi region DVD players in the past and bought a lot from the US so hoping to be able to do the same with blu ray.

The model I'm interested in is the Sony BDP-S570B Blu-ray Disc Player with Built-in 3D Technology so if anyone has any experience with this I'd also be interested.

Thanks

I note from one of the reviews on Amazon the following:
first major issue was that the item at time of purchase was listed as
    region A + B + C for blu-ray and regions 1 -6 for dvd
which the delivered item was not - any comments or assistance with deregioning, Amazon?

Most bluray players can be made dvd multi region. Blurays on the other hand are almost none existant.
The only one I recall (And I might even be wrong about this) is the american OPPO bluray player which could be made multiregion. Id assume the new one theyre working on will be 3D capable.

i think the whole Region thing has had it's day now .

you don't save on Imports like you used to , with the weakness of the pound .

plus most things get a worldwide release now , cause it prevents people downloading them over the file sharing sites to get hold of them . it's also why programs like House and Mad Men get shown here very close to their US premiers

plus Blu Rays are well expensive over the price DVD's . i rent Blu Rays from Love film and Buy DVD's off ebay if want them for my collection /
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

The only problem I have with UK releases are the number of films that still get cuts made to them
