there is a company called Learn 2Pass (details below) they specialise in students and give good rates
10 Hours/Lessons 165 pounds (plus 1 free lesson)
20 Hours/Lessons 320 pounds ( 2 free lessons)
30 Hours/lessons 475 pounds ( 3 free lessons)
they also give you free loan of theory books and CD ROMS
you can also text them so you dont have to waste too much of your credits!! very student orientated. i havent had any lessons myself cos I havent got my provisional licence yet....I'm at Kent University so I dont know about your area but worth finding out.

This thread will be better placed in the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board, so I'll move it across.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Hi its best to go with an ADI who is recomended to you by friends/family. Cheapness is not the best. The theory cd's are only £5.99 at most supermarkets. Buy yourself a Highway Code £1.49 and read it.0

i borrowed the theory test cd from a friend, (or you can get it from the library) then did 3 weeks intensive (2 hours a day 5 days a week) then about 4-6 hours a week for another 4 weeks and took my test - passed 1st time so cant be all bad doing the intensive-ish courses. I went with a large local company and was more than happy with my tuition. they had an online deal where when you bought more than 10 lessons you got a discount. i reckon all in all it cost me about £850 (including tuition, theory and practical tests) and i just bought my first car. if you need any advice feel free to pm me
