I am new to the whole world or recordable dvd and I was wondering what makes of dvd media people recommend? When recording cds I have used Maxell and Philips with good success rates - do they make similar quality blank dvds? Also, where do people recommend me getting them from?!
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

I buy the cheapest possible, unbranded cd's and dvds on spindles of 100 (cd) and 50 (dvd). never had any problems. gone are the 'unbranded are rubbish' days.0

I use DataWrite Titanium dvd/cd.
Get all my blank media from SVP, good prices and often do 99p shipping.

I have heard that Ritek are a good make - is this true?0

Yes, DVD-/+rs that use the dark purple Ritek dyes are one of the best. I use them all the time and the burn quality is excellent. Taiyo Yuden DVD-/+rs are known as the daddy of them all.
If you want quality and compatibility, you should choose these two.0 -

Hi
I usually buy my DVD media from https://www.ukdvdr.com They have a huge range and are one of the cheapest around. I always go for Imation DVD-R (50 pack) for £9.49 as i find Imation give me the least number of coasters compared to Datawrite, Ridisc etc.

Yes, that is great! It says GO5 dye which is Ritek. Just make sure your dvd burner can burn to dvd-r (notice the minus)0 -
