Survey Report

Surveyor went out to a property we have put a bid on today. Just wondering how we will receive the report / result back? Will the surveying company sent it to the mortgage provider, the mortgage broker or us? How will we hear the results?

Hi scrivo,
How are you getting on? We got our mortgage offer last Saturday after stressing about it for two weeks! If it's just a lender's survey, you should hear the next day from your mortgage lender or advisor (we heard from our advisor the following day that everything was ok with the survey) and you should then get the report (it's a very simple one-page report) in the next few days in the mail. Things are progressing very quickly for you! Good luck!

If it is a lender's valuation then you may not receive a copy of the report as some lenders don't send copies to borrowers. The first you may know of the report being received is when the mortgage offer comes through.
If you have arranged for your own homebuyers or structural survey then it can take a couple of weeks or so to get to you, depending on how quickly the surveyor's office get it typed up.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
