Hello
I am a self-employed Driver. I went through a shoulder operation a few days ago which means I,ll be off work for at least six weeks. I have never claimed benefits in my life and dont really know what I,m entitled to. Can anybody help?
Many thanks

ESA I'd have thought. As self employed, your Class 2 NIC count towards entitlement for health related benefits. Do you not have enough money in your business to cover this? When I was a self employed HGV driver, I'd earned enough and paid myself a sensible enough wage in the first 8 months to be able to cover the 3 month quiet period from Jan to March.0
