Advice Please Takeover Do I have to take the job

Pretty sensitive this hence a temp log in (hope that is ok). I will try to keep this short.
Worked for a company for three years and they have called liquidators in. Good news though is that it looks like some sort of takeover deal will take place and everyone will keep their job.
According to employer we will not be able claim redundancy as our entitlement will move with the takeover.
Do I have to take this job though?
I'm assuming that they will offer exactly the same job that I am doing now.
I was planning on leaving anyway hence the question.

You can resign at any time you like giving the contractual notice.0

As getmore4less stated, you can resign anytime you like, work your notice and leave. You don't have to take any job you're offered, and you were planning on leaving anyway.

as above and to be honest the company taking over will probably love the fact that they are getting a member of staff of their books as well. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!
