  • JSA claims normally take about 3-6 weeks to process, so I wouldn't bet on getting a super quick reaction from them. In fact I think that the period after Christmas means that claims get really high, because so many get off Christmas temping jobs. Make the claim anyway! The sooner you make it, the better! And make sure that you have as many documents/as much proof ready to hand so that there aren't any delays.
    Hope this helps! :)
  • Thanks.. so will this mean I wont get anything whilest this claim is going through I currently claim tax credits and h/b and hubby gets non contribution jsa ..thanks

  • Hi Smile- If you have been in receipt of JSA prior to starting your temp job I think it's just a matter of making a "rapid reclaim" once the job has finished. Go to your nearest JC+ and ask there-they will give you a claim form. I dont think it takes as long as 3-6 weeks.
  • Just done a quick Googly- there is loads of advice(including here on MSE) Search "rapid reclaim"
The form you need is "JSA4RR"-(me thinks-please check first!!)
