Hi, take the router back and swap it for a DSL router, or cable router. both are the same, just named differently.
Tell customer services you asked for a DSL router, and you got sold an ADSL router. You also need to buy an ethernet card and install it into your PC.
If it's too complex to install an ethernet card, buy an ethernet to usb converter. let me know if you need any more help0 -
have taken it back earlier.
how much are the ethernet to usb converters?
thanks a lot heather xxxx0 -

thanks a lot for that, on a thread there was a lot of discussion about staples prices not sure wether they would be any good for me.

oh great i am glad you have the same know it will be ok then. so just checking if i buy this what else do i need?
i am sorry i am really not a natural blonde lol0 -
you will also need an ethernet card for your PC. they are only cheap. but you need to fit it, or get someone to fit it.
if you dont want to mess about inside your PC, buy a converter we talked about, which means you plug it into the USB port.
Finally, the task of configuring your router! best o luck
