Can anyone tell me where I can get operating instructions for the above control? I have it in my flat and have never known how to use it. I have searched the internet and called a couple of companies but so far nothing. Thanks

There will be at least a half dozen totally different E7 controllers, as far as I'm aware there is no such maker as ' Newlec ' .. .. they just re-badge other peoples stuff. In which case ' Newlec ' will almost certainly be selling Horstmann products.
If anyone knows where Newlec's pdf's are - say so !
Does it look anything like any of those in here ?Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. That's why I linked to the NLQE7 replacement from Horstmann, using the thread title as a clue.
In particular the Quartz bit.
Yes Newlec is the brand name of Newey & Eyre.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
If it looks like the one spud17 #2 refers to there is nothing to learn / do, other than to
- set the wintertime clock correctly [ REM to reset it if you turn your mains off for more than 12 hours ]
- put the rocker switch on the timed setting for your hot water [ just leave it there forever, except when on holidays ]
- and twiddle the boost timer anti-clockwise if you are in desperate need more daytime hot water [ very unlikely ]
All other operations are out of your hands, it [ water & central heating ] is switched on and off by your leccy provider [ on / off times vary by one hour winter / summer ]Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Did'nt see your post -
While you have said the above .. .. ..
The NLQE7 is not replaced by the Horstmann is is and always was the Horstmann, and there are many perhaps eight or more not just the old original E7. What we need for the O/P is the correct model then we can point to the specific pdf if it's one of the controllable dual digital versions.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
