What do I do now?

Hy Everyone
I sold a jack daniels money clip on ebay last week the auction ended on 17th October and on my listing I state I will post within 2 to 3 days of recieveing payment. Anyway got payment on the 17th and I was working 12 hour shifts so couldnt get to post office till the 19th October but it was within my 2 to 3 days handling time. Anyway I got neutral feedback today saying it took the item a week to get there when it didnt it only took 3 days. I havent left them feedback yet but have emailed them asking what their problem is.
Do I leave them neutral or negative feedback?
Im really mad at this buyer as they havent even communicated with me saying there was a problem
Thanks for your help
Oggy

It depends on you personally as you can leave them a neutral feddback along the lines of "item posted within the agreed timescale, not my fault late delivery by royal mail" or you could leave a negative feedback "posted within timescale, buyer in-patient, no responce etc.....

If it was me I would leave a negative considering they have already left a neutral at you can apply for feedback removal if you both agree so it wont affect your rating

All you can do is leave a cool, calm response to the neutral and avoid giving in to the justifiable temptation to neg him back for being a complete numptie.

Unless you think he's reasonable enough to go for mutual feedback withdrawal.

Ive just left someone a neutral due to an item taking a long time to arrive-but then i did contact them first.

If the buyer wasnt happy then they have got every right to leave you the appropriate feedback, it would have been nice if they contacted you first though.

I think the most they deserve back is a neutral as they paid in time and the only thing wrong was lack of communication, i think a neg is way too much and may just make you seem a bit petty. Follow up the neutral you got with an explanation of why it wasnt actually as bad as they suggest.

  • Hy Thankyou you all for your responses to my post. Not sure what Im going to do as of yet I have emailed the person asking why the neutral feedback to see if I get any response. The buyer is fairly new to ebay and only has a score of 8 feedback so I am going to give them chance to reply as being fairly new to ebay.
    Thankyou so much once again

If he's new to eBay he probably doesn't understand the implications of leaving someone neutral feedback. I would advise him of this politely by email and if he didn't apologise would then leave him neutral feedback for his poor communication. He's too impatient- I always allow a week for things to reach me.

Some buyers are ridiculously impatient, and it's almost like they assume as soon as they've bought the item, for you to hop on a bike and courier the damn thing down to them straight away.

You should leave follow up feedback too.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

I would leave a reply to their neutral saying payment received 17th item posted 19th . Then leave then a pos saying payment received thanks or some such thing. Then if anyone should follow the item number to see what feedback you have left ,they will see you were completely reasonable.
  • Thanks so much everyone
The buyer has mutally withdrawn their neutral feedback in the end.
    Thanks
