Any way to avoid getting a bank charge?

Hi there
Earlier today I was buying a Christmas present online, however I accidentally used the wrong card and charged it to an account that doesn't have enough money in it to cover the cost of the purchase. Is it likely the money has left my account already? And if not, is it possible to deposit some cash into my account before it does to avoid becoming overdrawn? Nationwide opens at 9am tomorrow so I could go then.
Thanks!

Check with your bank usually if its your first time they will let you off as a gesture of good will0

Often the authorisation is made but the payment won't be taken for a few days so if you pay money in tomorrow you should be fine.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Can you deposit some money now through Faster Payments? That would give you the best chance of avoiding charges. Otherwise, as has been said, cash into the account tomorrow morning (at the counter, not through a machine, as they're usually not credited until overnight), and if you do get hit by charges, phone them and explain and ask if there's any chance they'll waive them given your previous good conduct (assuming it has been good!)0
