That's an excellent deal, i checked out our buthcers after you mentioned it and ours are offering:
£36, for an 8lb-10lb or should that be Kgs? turkey, two kinds of stuffing, chipolatas, streaky bacon, 2lb of carrots and 2lb of sprouts...
The other butcher near us is doing
£32, for an 8lb-10lb turkey, two kinds of stuffing, 1lb chipolatas and 1lb streaky bacon....
Your butcher must be very good value for all that meat...Wish i lived where you did...:D
I'm just debating whether they could tailor a hamper for us, given we woulnd't need as much or whether i'm still better off sticking to Morrisons and preordering there...
Arthur if you seach the grabit section there were a couple of supermarkets offering very cheap frozen turkeys last week, might still be some around...0 -
Just bought a free range turkey from M&S reduced from £25 to £8. Worth keeping an eye on reductions:money:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Hi, yes we tried one of these the last time LIDL had these on special. It was a 'treat' as we had never had lobster before. Weeeeeell, tbh it's not something we will be repeating. Just tasted like fishy little bits of nothing, and certainly never enough for a meal. However, if you are lobster officianados, and this is how they are supposed to taste, and if they are supposed to be just a little appetiser, then I guess they are fine!0 -
Am going to check out Morrisons meat offers hopefully tomorrow.
Their meat is lovely, i had a piece of salmon cut silverside at the weekend and it tasted better than any of my local butchers. Plus it kept well all week in the fridge without going brown unlike the disgusting beef Asda and Tesco churn out!! Had their steak as well and chicken and all of them tasted succulent and full of flavour.
I am hoping they offer the medium chicken for £3 again it had plenty of meat on it and was an excellent deal.0 -
Sainsburys meat offers in the paper yesterday Gammon joints £3.99p/kg, Beef vac pack joints £4.49p/kg, Boneless leg pork £3.34p/kg offers end 31st dec subject to availability.0
