Anyone use a Danfoss tp5000 room thermostat?

My son has recently moved into a house fitted with an electric central heating system with a Danfoss tp5000 room thermostat.

He is having problem setting digital timer...it appears to use preset times to come on and go off....is it possible to over-ride these settings?

We have tried searching internet, but not much luck...

He has been told by electric people that based on units used per day, its costing him 12 pounds a day to run, 84 pounds a week, as obviously its running all day when no one is at home

Any help thankfully received...no heating on at the minute! (theyre afraid of getting into debt just to keep warm)!:(

Good evening: perhaps you have but in the event you haven't Danfoss has detailed instructions for over-riding the pre-sets on their website.

thanks, we found this pdf on line, but you need a degree in programming to understand how to over ride the custom settings...it doesnt help that he is 50 miles away, with no internet access..:( it appears that it is programmed with remote access, he can turn his central heating on when hes driving home.....:)
i think he may need the help of a plumber

Hi...the OH finds many folks struggle with many modern CH controls and the instructions don't help one iota.... yet another one for the Plain English Campaign . Post him the relevant sections of the pdf...it is possible for the layperson to complete the task.;)
