Hi, i went self employed for 2 months between january 2010 and march 2010 and earnt £6500, does this mean that i havent got to pay any tax on this little amount due to the tax free amount which we are given at the start of every tax year, because i have just filed a tax return online and it says £0 is to be paid but not sure if i did it correctly.

The tax payable will be determined by your total income from the tax year, what were you doing during before and after the self employed period as, if you were working PAYE, it is likely the tax allowance may have been used on the other job(s)0
