Has anyone had delays/ problems with santander mortgages?
i have recently heard of another friend who's purchase became held up by santander. not sure if this is the norm with lenders at the moment?

In the past I always found Abbey National to be fairly quick to process a mortgage application, but my recent Santander application was really quite slow, would hate to imagine how slow they would be if the market was more active.0 -
In my case Santander were really quick. saw my financial advisor on a Monday and fired away mortgage application, 5 mins later approved, less than 14 days later and I have the mortgage paperwork in my hand
. But the purchase is in Scotland so a home report with a surveyors mortgage value was already in place. 0 -
Found them to be really quick, took 24hours I think, no problems at all.October no spend on lunches 2/17 so far.0

I had lots and lots of problems with my lender recently (not Santander), they sat on my application for weeks on end and refused to look at it - saying that they didn't have the man power to do it as they were snowed under with applications. My purchase very nearly fell through as some people in the chain got so fed up waiting for me0
