sky plus remote control

my sky plus remote showed an onscreen message syaing the batteries needed changing. I did this, but when the search and scan banner comesw up, I still have a low battery pic showing, even though the batteries are brand new. Can anyone help???

Forget that last post - just read the title properly. You have Sky+ not ordinary Sky.
Have you tried rebooting the box?
Or apparently going into interactive and coming out again makes it disappear.0 -
