Best Gas Hob

Our gas hob, a Fisher Paykel five burner has never provided enough power in my opinion. Does anyone know if the output can be increased? The correct jets are fitted but a saucepan takes ages to heat up. Alternatively, can anyone recommend a good high output large gas hob? Thanks.

Don't start with cold water, boil some in an electric kettle and use that.

Cannon used to make decent hobs, but they are probably just Indesit clones these days.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Before you shell out for a new hob have the appliance serviced and the RGI will test the gas supply etc.

Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)

Good idea - thanks. What can be done w.r.t. the gas supply? I thought the pressure was fixed.

There is a regulator along side your meter.
