Wondering if to change bank accounts

Hi guys, hope someone can help advise

I currently have 3 bank accounts, all with the same bank.

One basic (Bills Account) - I have all my DD's and SO's set up to come out of this account and make sure I have enough money in to cover them all. There is only a cashcard with this account, no overdraft or chequebook.

Two Current accounts - one (main) with £120 overdraft facility - regularly dipped into with charges of £1.00 per day as this is my 'living account'
Other with £250 overdraft facility - dipped into VERY occasionally (to stop using the main one going over it's arranged OD limit as I'd get charged £5 per day if I did!)

My questions are:
I'm beginning to feel I have all my 'eggs in one basket' by having all my accounts with one bank so should I consider opening one with another bank?

If so, I've been looking at going over to the Coop, and as only one of the accounts has DD's coming out of it it would have to be the basic account that gets moved over to the new bank - how does the switching service work?
Do I have to move ALL my DD's over, or can I keep some at the original bank?

I have 3 debts with DCA's that I would prefer not to move - if anything went wrong in the move I'd be screwed BIG TIME I'm sure!
Other than these I have no other debts, and am bang upto date with all my household bills (proud of me! lol)

Does anyone have any experiance with the Coop Privilege Premier Current Account?

Thanks in advance x

with debts with DCAs presumably you have several defaults; they would make it difficult to open a new bank acount otherr than a basic account
  • I have 3 - 2 with Lowell and one with...
Actually, amend that, I have 2 with Lowell, the other payment is council tax and is going to them directly

All 3 debts have been payment maintained (paid monthly by DD/SO) for at least 3 years, with no missed payments since the arrangements were made
The other 2 debts that I cleared - one was to my mother, and the other is no longer on my credit file anyway.

I did open the 2 current accounts with the bank I had my basic account with just over 2 years ago, and there were no problems in doing so.
I've checked experian and my credit score is fair...
