Does turning down a job now affect a JSA claim in the future?

I've been offered a job which I don't want, and did NOT apply for. It would involve being away from home a minimum of 4 nights a week which I really don't want. However my current contract ends towards the end of December. If I turn down this new (also temporary) job which has been offered, and which I did not apply for, will that affect a potential claim for JSA at the end of December?

How will they know about it?
It's when your current employment ceases that you can claim JSA.
It might as well have been a job you were offered in 2008 that you turned down!!0
