  • I went to a haven camp last year thinking well it's only for the weekend it can't be that bad ......................
It was the worst mistake ever, the place was full of chav's of the worst kind !
The accomodation was pants and the entertaiment was terrible.
If you want to mingle with the worst, drink the pits, and fight for table then go to a haven bar.
On the table next to us the parents were giving 8 year olds alco pops to drink !!!!!!!!!!!
I am no snob but any reasonable family would run a mile rather than mix with some of these animals !!!!
  • been to haven before - have not had ANY problems like that - it does though depend on the site you choose..........I have heard of previous problems.......
Me i'm always after a good deal.. :rotfl:

Been to quite a few Havens and had no problems maybe im lucky or just choose the decent sites , accomodation has always been clean and tidy, i can recommend Primrose Valley nr Filey and Devon Cliffs in err Devon :rotfl:

Trouble is with caravans this time of year they get very damp and they are hard to heat , the ones with heaters in the bedrooms dont give off any heat, if you have a portable halogen heater its worth bringing one along.

We stayed in gold caravan in Burnham and were very pleased with it, much better than the chalets at Butlins.

We go to Presthaven Sands every year and book a private caravan through Loot and always get a great deal. Top of the range caravans in the secluded areas of the park and a lot cheaper then the brochure.

We always go the week before the 6 week school break so the weather is usually good. Therw are 8 of us and we share the cost, so a weeks holiday can cost us about £150. I highly recommend Presthaven Sands!
