Managed to spill a bottle of green glass/window cleaner on my beige carpet. Tried Vanish, but if anything the stain looks worse!
Has anyone got tried and tested tips on removing stubborn stains from carpets? Thanks.

My stain cleaning technique is always to blot up the spillage with kitchen paper before I start treating it, then I use 1001 stain remover which works 99% of the time. If that doesn't work, my last resort is the steam cleaner! We cleared an ink stain on a beige carpet in a rental house where I was convinced we were going to lose our deposit - we'd tried everything and only the steam cleaner shifted it.Piglet
