E.on, going from dual fuel to electricity only?

I am currently on E.on's dual fuel FixOnline8 and may be moving to a house that does not have gas.

If I remain with Eon will I still have to pay a termination charge for ending my gas supply?

The new house is currently with another supplier but of course if E.on is cheaper I will remain with E.on.

  • Call in and check about the canx charge, but they will let you put the elec on Fix Online 8 once they have gained supply

Hi evei - Most of the suppliers do not charge the penalty fee if you actually move house - Read the T&C's or phone E.on for confirmation.

The day you move into your new home, you will become a customer of it's then supplier who will log you as a 'new' account and put you into an expensive 'Standard' tariff, so Switch or go onto another tariff with that supplier quickly.

This new home? - If it's all Electric be prepared for a BIG increase in your heating and power bill compared to what you have been paying with Gas.

    Hi evei

There is an electricity only version of Fixonline 8. Therefore, if you would like us to supply your new home, you will be able to continue on Fixonline 8 until the product expiry date. This is provided the metering is similar to your current property.

The cancellation charge will not be applied in these circumstances.
However, the discount on the electric only tariff is 2 per cent less than the Dual Fuel version.

I would pop your details on to one of the comparison sites to make sure the deal you choose is the best for you.

Hope this helps evei. Let me know if I can help further and good luck with the move.
