Utility Warehouse Discount Club
Options
I've just moved and therefore looking for a new gas/electric/telephone/broadband supplier. I've been offer a package from Utility Warehouse Discount Club.
I'm sure I could do better by sourcing each individually but the package looks ok.
Does anyone have any experience of UWDC? I'm just a bit nervous of 'clubs' after the recent Christmas hamper club fiasco.
Thanx
Peter

My advice is to check prices for your area and sort out the best deal that suits your circumstances and what you want from a company. Don't forget to look at the small print before signing up to anything.

I have been happy for some time as a distributor and customer of UW, but I have been very upset that they have charged me £9.99 for a SIM that I shut down, and also they are using a 0871 number for the HQ.
Gradually over the last year prices have crept up and they are more expensive than some of the bigger companies, Powergen have one of the best customer service records, and are quoted as being cheaper than UW on Uswitch.
The broadband service might be cheap, but Talk Talk are doing a FREE service, not that I like Carphone Warehouse :-( There are a lot of companies out there offering cheaper and better services now. So UW have got to pull their socks up and look to the current customer, and not the potential one that can shop around!
Yes it is very nice to have one bill and one DD but I would rather pay less for the same or better service.0 -
