Some good news....

I spoke with the local housing association who are going to offer us the shared ownership in a house we viewed last week.

I'd been worrying as my OH has a couple of defaults on his credit file but was sure that his name would need to be on the mortgage as I believed the property was being offered to us under the keyworker scheme and although we're both keyworkers, he's the one who is based in the area where the house is located......

Anway to cut a long ramble a little shorter - its not being offered to us as keyworkers but solely on a 50% shared ownership basis so its not necessary to include his name on the mortgage which hopefully will result in a wider choice of lenders with an improved interest rate!

See? I am learning.....lol All thanks to the forum :T :T :T

Now I need to gain the AIP, 3mths bank statements and 3mths wage slips and get it to the HA. I did add that we'd like to be in there in time to decorate the Xmas tree! :p

The race is on! :rotfl:
