looking for good quality toilet 600mm

We need to replace a toilet in our flat. It is about 600mm (maybe 620mm) from the wall to the edge of the pan. Any bigger won't work because the door won't close. I've looked at many websites and many toilets are either 710mm or are the square seat type.
We'd prefer the traditional oval in a plain ceramic that flushes properly - reason we are replacing the toilet is that we have constant trouble with low flush - not enough water means multiple flushing or bucket of water so hardly water saving - but a dual flush on top rather than handle would look better.
Needless to say the bathroom's small.

As we are not replacing the floor tiles, it needs to be the same size or bigger. Currently the enamel bit of the toilet from back to front is 40cm approx and the width of the base at the front is approximately 20cm. The latter's difficult to measure as it's curved.

We want to pay no more than £200 at most, hopefully less.
Does anyone have any suggestions please? If we can't get anything suitable, will just have to stay with the current one and its bucket..:(

Search for a "short projection" toilet.

Are you sure that its not just a cse of fitting a replacement flush valve and perhaps a new fill valve. Why replace the whole thing if its just part that is faulty?

Which is why the tiles should have gone right underneath the toilet in the first place.

We want to pay no more than £200 at most, hopefully less.

You'll pay a lot less if its just a case of new valves.

thanks for that, will have a word with the builder (we are having other work done). There would be no reason to replace it if it was just the valves so will get him to check that, but I think it may be a design fault as both toilets are the same and have the same problem, although we aren't planning to replace the other one as can only afford 1 right now.

630mm would be ok I think if we do have to get a new one, so will have a look at your suggestions. One thing I do insist on is decent quality lid hinges - it freaks me out if they start to rust just from being cleaned often. We went to a showroom and a lot of the seats/lids were lousy quality plastic despite the loo costing over £150.
The floor tiles do go under the toilet but they are 10 years old now. Black slate and we like it and want to keep it. No idea if we can match it up.
