You can get brush or rubber draught excluders to fit along the bottom of the garage door, from B&Q for example.
And make sure any door into the house is tight fitting. It should already be as it will be a "fire door".
The garage will probably also have air bricks, but these really should not be blocked up.
If the room above is cold, you could insulate the floor, but that would mean taking down the garage ceiling. Or taking up the floor.0 -
A few months back I insulated my garage roof although dont have a room above with cheap British Gas insulation the stuff you put in lofts and some large plasterboard. I paid about £20 for insulation, £44 for plasterboard, nails and £150 for labour which wasnt too bad.
The seals for doors arent cheap and dont stop entirely all drafts as I get it through the side of the doors. I am planning on sealing my garage door as we dont use garage for car and build a wooden frame around the door at sides and put some solid insulation in to block the door. I was going to buy it this week at B&Q it was pink coloured and saw it in there last week in the offers isle along with garage door seals £25. But both have gone now at my store0 -
Ill try B&Q - ta ta0
