Wiring an extra sky box from one dish.

Hi, have tried a search in case this has been answered but no luck.

Basically I have sky and wanted to run an extra box from the one dish.

Dish only has one output, so purchased a splitter, antiference fs612 6-way.

Have put the out from the dish to the in on the splitter, then ran two outs to the boxes.

When only one out is connected the box will work when both are connected they are not working.

Have tried changing the rf with no luck.

You need an LNB with more than one output i.e. a quad output, not a splitter.

    Another thread here.

You need to thow your existing LNB away and replace it with a Quad LNB.

You can see some here http://www.!!!!!!.uk/accs/page1.htm

    Hope this helps.

The boxes "control" the LNB as to some extent the LNB tunes in to the correct signal - if you therefore have a single LNB with 2 boxes connected to it both boxes will be trying to control the LNB and so you wont get anything.

Double and quad LNBs are very cheap and you simply need to remove the existing one and replace it with the new one.

You can get quad lnb's much cheaper from eBay - around 10 quid.
