We are needing a larger car after getting the vectra back in april we paid 9500 for an 08 2008 plate. hope to get between 83-8500 as trade in. we have seen a Nissan Qashqai 57 plate for 9800. but dont want to spend that much more. any1 got any tips on getting the price lower and how to haggle.
Thanks

Sell your car first. If you're wanting to do a trade in you'll be kicked in the nuts with the trade in value - expect to be offered at least £1k below what you've said above. Dealers are stuffed with cars and don't really want trade ins.0

Indeed, and a Nissan CashCow doesn't really have much more room in it than a Vectra.
I suspect that not many dealers will want your Vectra.0 -
2008 Vectra's from £4000 with lots of miles in the autotrader.
Dealer price for a 34,000 mile model under £8000, Knock a £1000 off for part ex.
I think you will be quite lucky to get £7000 for it in exchange, Unless they have overpriced the
car you are buying.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I though you wanted a bigger car the nissan is smaller just a bit taller.
smaller boot and allround.

as others have pointed out the nissan is considerably smaller than the vectra, unless what you're getting at is that you want a taller car with a higher driving position. if you're looking for a big boot you won't find anything much bigger than outgoing vectra estate.0
