You can also get breakdown insurance for all the EU for about 30€. It works well, my French car broke down last week in the UK, they tried to repair it at the side of the road, then took it to a garage of my choice and asked if I needed transport back to my home in France, good value!
You can get that with some insurers in the UK.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

You won't have an issue with road taxes if you car is fully legal in the UK i.e. has a valid MOT and insurance.
This is not true. In Austria, Slovenia and Hungary you have to buy a sticker if you want to use their motorways (flat rate for x days/months). If you use motorways without the sticker you could be fined. In france and e.g Croatia they have toll roads, so UK road tax menas nothing there.
Also, you will have to go out of car to take toll road ticket or pay as machines are placed on left hand side on europian motorways. This is not very convenient if you drive alone
Also be sure to have "UK" sticker an headlights deflectors.0 -

Why not? My old man and his friend made it in just over 25 hours... And that was a first try attempt. It's only 1,600 miles away.
Thats an average of 66mph. And don't forget the German Autobahn. (130MPH+ Speeds FTW!)
Not sure what type of 'save the trees' car your driving, buts its extremely do-able.
I only said 2 days for the sake of not having a co-driver, and wanting to "take it easy" travelling relaxed.
You know best, beats me why you feel the need to ask on here for advice? Go ask your old man and his friend :rotfl:"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Not got a clue about your question.
But it sounds a brilliant idea. Go for it.
