I think I already know the answer to the question I'm about to ask
I've just put my usb memory stick into my laptop and I was presented with a pop-up asking me whether I want to scan my memory stick or not? "Do you want to scan and fix?"
It also said something about "This will resolve issues in the future"
I've said "Yes" and now my memory stick appears to have been wiped clean, when I select it, it has "naff all" left on it
It's (or was  ) a 2Gb stick, but when I click on properties it has 0 bytes used and 0 bytes available
I have left it in the computer at the moment incase anyone here has any idea if it's recoverable?
There's nothing in the recycle bin, so I guess I'm fearing the worse

Didn't appear to find nothing with Recuva (probably because it wasn't being recognised for some reason? )
Anyway I took the risk on clicking on "Safely remove hardware" and taking the stick out
Plugged it back in and hey presto everything is still there :j:j:j:j
Panic over, guess it's time to back the data up on a disc for safe keeping
Thanks for the input davidmt83 :beer:0
