Low rate return on Bond

Some advice please - my mum invested in a stockmarket bond with Northern Bank for 5 years (until beg October) and the return was only 10% (ie 2% per year). Does anybody else think this is abit low - what should she do about it?

Yes it is very low when compared to other investments but about right for a GEB tracking the FTSE100.what should she do about it?
