Petguard Pet insurance query

I am about to purchase an insurance policy from Petguard for my dog. Petguard state that their policy is a 'lifetime' policy and that there is no time limit on any one condition payout (only an annual payment limit is specified). My question is, do Petguard, or all insurance companies consider a condition that has been paid out on a 'pre-exisiting condition' and therefore refuse to pay out again on it in the future if it reoccurs (bearing in mind I will be buying their 'lifetime' policy)? I know you can buy policies that have a specific limit per condition but this policy makes no mention of this in it's wording.
