What does single transaction mean?

I have a voucher from Tesco that says £8 of when you spend £40 or more in a single transaction, does this mean one shopping trip or simply one item, anyone know?

    It just means you need to put a total of £40 of shopping through the till together in one go.

    It's a Grabbit to me, the voucher is up today or tomorrow :) That reminds me what does valid until the 28/11/10 mean, valid until today or tomorrow?

    it means up to and including the date stated.
