I bought a make over and photo shoot for DD and her friend for New ID (via lastminute). Bargain price of £12.50 each including a photo. I then did a few google searches on New ID and began to regret booking it, I don't think I found one positive review! But by then I had already given the voucher to DD so felt I had to go through with it.
We went last week. I can honestly say it was an amazing experience, they treated us like princesses, all the staff were lovely, the makeover was very age-appropriate (they are 11 and 12), and the photos were amazing. The photographer was lovely, he must have taken about 100 shoots each of the girls.
We had no hard sell. The lady who showed us the photos said "I assume you just want the free photo" and I agreed that was correct but then when I saw the photos I had to buy some. I got 8 on a CD for £100, which is expensive, but not ridiculously so (and considerably less than the advertised price).
The only complaints I would have is that (a) when I booked, the lady in the call centre was very snotty (both literally and metaphorically!!) and (b) they kept us waitng for an hour at the end of the shoot, but they nevertheless apologised profusely and kept the free drinks flowing.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
