Stop BG reverting to standard tariff while we switch?
Options
We had an email the other day from British Gas (we were on a Websaver dual fuel tariff) saying:
"Your WebSaver 4 energy tariff is coming to an end on 10 December 2010. You don’t need to do anything as we’ll automatically transfer you to our new standard tariff prices"
and pointing out that we could switch to WebSaver 10.
However, we're actually in the process of switching to EDF given the BG price hike: does anyone know if there's any way we can stop BG switching us back to standard tariff in the meantime and if so, is there any particular form of words we need to use in contacting them?
Many thanks.

If your Websaver had an end date you will need to go onto the standard tariff. Your terms and conditions would have advised this when you signed up for it. Of course if you were staying with BG you could choose a better tariff.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

However the letter also stated that you can switch to online saver 3, which has no cancellation fee, it maybe worth you switching to that in the interim.0
